How hard is composing, anyway? With technology I can slide around all the parts I want and click 'em together like legos. This song fell together quickly, and I was wicked tempted to mess with it, make it something weird and crazy and surprising. But I thought it was good enough as it was, just a simple song, a few tracks, easy vibe, why not? And how can you surprise people if you're always surprising them. I've been told in golf courses there's always a hole or too that's a nice simple par three for the players to get back in the right head space, and maybe and album needs one of those too.
